Well Water Tank Installation, Replace & Repair Services

I’m a first time homeowner, and I may not know any better and should’ve quote more plumbers before accepting the price. I chose them because they have a lot of... read more good reviews. I think I’m being overcharged for work done. I’m sharing my experience with this company. I need a drain work done, shut-off valve for hot and cold pipe, and tub and shower valve. The price was an outrageous $2700. All of these were done over 3 visits because they didn’t do the job right the first time. On the first visit, they did the drain but there was no new piping and it was just PVC pipe for the drain, and PVC pipes shouldn’t cost thousands. And they did put in a tub and shower valve. (See pics) So I check the back panel and there was no shut off valve for either pipe. On second visit they installed the shut-off valves. Then the shower flange came off and they told me to push it back against the wall. Huh?! On the third visit, they came back to secure the shower flange. In conclusion, I haven’t had to call them back for any mishaps due to their work since, however, my family couldn’t believe the price and think I’m being ripped off.

The drain under my sink from the new water softener they installed is a 2in pvc, they spliced my drain leaving it open and did a 3/4in elbow down into it and zip tied to it so its just sitting there. I put tape over the opening of the pipe so it wasn't so exposed. (see attached pic) They changed the valve body on my shower and installed the plate behind the tub backwards and made the handle stick out super far and it looked ridiculous. When I questioned the service man he responded with "that's how it is, I've been doing this for 15 years if there was something I can do I would of." So I read the fixture's instructions and showed him its able to be installed differently depending on thick/thin walls. He stopped responding after I showed him the instructions that came with the fixture. He came back without saying a word. They installed a new furnace, when installed they didn't run a new electrical line, my old coal furnace had very old wiring, not sure if it even had a ground. The breaker box is about 3ft from the new furnace. When the furnace was turned on, it started an electrical fire. So they postponed when they would finish. The next day a different person from the same company finished the job and noticed the old wiring and said this needs to be new and they ran the new wire. The company they hired to remove my old furnace had every CO2 detector alarm going off in my 2 story house because they weren't using proper ventilation when using a torch to cut my old furnace. The ventilation they used was my personal box fan in the basement blowing out a door. This is just the major issues I had, I definitely wasn't pleased with multiple other aspects of the job.
